Asian Window Coverings Add Creative InspirationBy: Osmundo Bernabe
As you visit the homes of friends and family you will probably notice that many of them have themes throughout their homes. Some choose to bring the beauty and splendor of a Victorian garden into their homes while others opt for themes of the Tuscan sun. So what kind of theme will you bring into your home and what tools will you use in order to perpetuate that theme.
In many homes, the one room that brings family together more often than not is the dining room. With that in mind, why not transform your dining room into a relaxing Asian inspired evening retreat? Deep reds and gold tones can serve to increase appetite while encouraging conversation and good feelings among family members. If this is your goal you can merely bring these colors into your dining room rather than converting your entire dining room into the atmosphere of a Chinese buffet. The point is that by making little changes such a wall paper borders or Asian inspired window coverings you can bring touches of an Asian theme into your dining room without overwhelming the senses. Of course you could always opt to go all out when it comes to transforming your dining room into an Asian escape from the ordinary for your family’s dining pleasure. If this is the case you will need to change the colors of your walls, add floor coverings, accessorize, add window coverings, change the lighting, and in many cases purchase new dishes in order to complete the theme. If you opt to integrate an Asian theme into your existing dining room you will need to carefully incorporate decorative touches both large and small into your room. This can be rather easily accomplished by focusing your attention on your table. You should begin with items such as: table clothes, table runners, and dishes that will accentuate an Asian theme. The good news is that you do not have to allow this to completely ruin the theme and atmosphere you are hoping to create. One of the many ways that you can overcome the inability or simple lack of desire of purchasing a new dining room floor is to use small rugs throughout the room that have a little touch of Asian inspired design accents.
